I'm so sorry that your family is giving you shit about this. :(

My father has been very supportive and encouraging me to keep emailing
and contacting people in the media, to try and right this wrong
against Pete.

This is a man who until the CFNYC thought that rock died with Buddy
Holly and never gave the Who (or any other music that I liked) any
thought -- mostly "turn down that shit" when I was a kid.

But he was impressed that they came here during the middle of the
anthrax attacks and listened with an open mind -- and came away a new
fan. He's gotten a bunch of their CDs and even went with me to their
first show at MSG last summer, which is all pretty funny to anyone who
knows my uber-conservative dad.

On Saturday, when I first called him and told him that there were
these allegations, I could hear him tense up, but as soon as I told
him the whole story (as much as we knew then), he was like "Is that
it?!" and agreed to support Pete unless proven otherwise. After the
circus on Monday, he was thoroughly outraged and has actually been
defending Pete to others. :-)
