I'm sure that we all know people that have drug problems. Wether it be
illegal or prescription, they surely can be abused. The addiction is the
killer. This speaks of a deeper underlying problem, or reason to go to them.
I think that one common thread between John and Keith (two opposite
dispositions) was the feeling of emptiness. Drugs immediately take this
feeling away temporarily.
Prescription drugs are extremely difficult to control because there is the
excuse that one needs them and they are readily available and legal. They
can be just as damaging and addictive as illegal drugs. Dead is dead.
