Daltrey in TV pop fury 

ROGER DALTREY has taken a swipe at manufactured pop
music. 

In an interview with me on Virgin Radio tonight, The
Who legend blames "stupid" shows such as Fame Academy,
Popstars: The Rivals and Pop Idol for destroying real
music.

He said: 'I do feel very strongly about how bad they
are. You cant manufacture rock 'n' roll. It doesn't
last or work and the same goes with pop."

Virgin have banned manufactured and reality TV pop
from playlists.
