The Toronto Encore cd and the others
After listening to this cd, both disks one and two several times, I have to
say that this one is the best of the 5 I have. Every song is great and the
intensity is there. I am particularly impressed with YBYB, one that is
usually weak on the vocals, but not here. I believe it was a better show than
Mansfield II, even though the Mansfield show was a great one too. It could
possibly be because there was no shows to save any energy for, or maybe the
Toronto crowd, which was quite loud! There seemed to be and echo, but it
really sounds cool right from the first chords of ICE. This show starts very
loudly. Disk one is as good as disk two. Pure joy to listen to. Just get it.
I am listening to Irvine at the moment. The bass is WAY up on this one. They
seemed a bit shell shocked after their previous performance at the Vegas hard
rock. Pete said that was one of the hardest gigs he has ever had to play in
his life, for obvious reasons. I haven't digested this show yet and I really
haven't given Mansfield II an honest five listens yet. I will let you know
though, as I am eager to hear all of your experiences with them as well.
Jon in Mi.
P.S. The Who Rocks!
