Who's in ads (again)

Still another complaint about the Claritenex ad.  This guys says The Who 
ruled over the counterculture.  Is that the problem with "selling out?"  The 
move from counterculture to Establishment?  I sort of thought The Who were 
still rebels, but co-existing fairly well with Establishment types.  After 
all, TED have to deal with them to accomplish what they want.

This is Punk's complaint about selling out, too, isn't it?  Is there a way 
to maintain counterculture integrity?  Is there some place where an artist 
should draw the line?
