Re: Roger on TV



Yeah, it's a waste for Tommy Chong to do, too, except that it looks like 
he's regularly employed.  I'm glad I watched the show last week, as this one 
maybe wasn't representative.  The show has that same feel to it as the 
(award-winning) Christopher Walken video where he dead-pans through a Fred 
Astaire dance routine--slightly surreal.  It seems to be a gentle satire of 
teen coming-of-age dramas.  I notice they're very careful with the antique 
cars, too.  That's about all I saw in two episodes.

About Roger's contribution--it looks like he's trying hard to keep his 
acting options open while The Who is working.  The last movie appearance 
he's done seems to have been very brief, too.  Since he's dropped back to 
"bit parts" instead of "starring roles" just lately, it seems like this 
might be a good time to try to step up into better quality movies.  He's 
been running into some pretty high-class actors and producers through The 
Who's activity, so maybe he'll find the opportunity for some "bit parts" in 
high budget movies.
