blank CDRs outselling recorded ones

Blank CDRs are mostly used to record software,
computer files, power point presentations, and other
text and info related media. The business I work for
uses hundreds a day for these purposes, and we are
just one of thousands in this country. Pirated or
legit music represent only a percentage of the use of
CDRs.
This is just another pseudo statistic thrown around by
the RIAA to obscure the real issues faced by the
record industry, and to generate a little more pity
for their greedy cause.
Besides, the RIAA already collects a "royalty" for
blank CDRs, and blank cassettes, regardless of what
the blank media is actually used for.
