pete's smashed guitar- questions

What did pete spray on the guitar he smashed at the Gorge?  After he smashed 
it he sprayed something on it.

Has Pete ever smashed a guitar before the end of a show?  I'm guessing he 
has, but I wasn't sure.

I noticed a few things that might be new moves for Pete.  One is the hard 
strum downward on the guitar with his hand nearly touching the ground.  I've 
seen a number of modern guitarists doing that, also.  Another is the forearm 
covering the eyes while playing with the left hand solo.  Any comments?

Also, has Roger been spitting water on the crowd before the WGFA scream 
before, or is that new?
