Re: I must disagree about the new album flop

No matter how good a new Who album is, in order to make it a success, The
Who will need the bi machinery of a major label deal, with major label
marketing dollars and radio play influence, to make it a success. Too many
times, good albums by artists that aren't quite oldies, yet aren't young
enough to be on today's rock radio, go by the wayside. There is a strange
void in rock music right now where even a band like U2 doesn't get as much
play as a piece of shit like Creed, Blink 182, etc. But U2 - who operate
from a more powerful and influential space than The Who today - had a lot of
exposure (TV specials, appearances), a long tour, and a really good record.
Their product finally carried them, not the packaging, like pretty much
every crappy rock band out there now.
