Pete did.  Actually, this system works perfectly well for Pete brother Simon 
as well, but it sure didn't work for Pete.  Fan infighting and politics soon 
spoiled it for everybody, and Pete shut it down.  Moby must have nicer fans.

It's hard to say.  I guess we could take what he said at face value, that he 
meant to remove a distraction to writing songs.  I don't think he's ever 
said much about ticket prices.  Regardless of how folks are complaining like 
it's something Pete has done to them personally, I suspect he's the last 
person in the organization who would be involved with details like that.  
Pete is the creative leader of the band, not the manager.
