Yes I do. I've often wondered that myself. However, this is the way of the
world now. If you consider what the movie stars are getting for each stupid
movie they do, professional athletes playing sports, then paying $200 for a
Who ticket is appropriate. What bothers me, is that Pete writes "meet the
new boss, the same as the old boss" and "there's a millionaire above
you"..anyway..I guess what I'm trying to say is that The Who are just as
guilty as actors, athletes, politicians...they can't get "enough" money.
Even George Harrison didn't live a simple life style and yet he seemed to be
very "enlightened". In the perfect world...we would be living like John's
song, Imagine.
I will probably go see The Who in Chicago and Indianapolis because they
won't be touring forever. The chance to feel "that high that they give me"
is worth it...at least that's how I feel now. If the Beatles were still
around and touring, I'd be willing to pay just about anything!
Everyone has to decide for themselves what is the right thing to do and I
certainly wouldn't say that you are not a loyal Who fan if you chose not to
go see them.
