Get on your knees boy, and pray one for me too (no wise comments about being
on your knees, please)

Funny, not one of mine either. Too obvious?

Agreed!!! 'Cause I was a soldier at 13 too.

Oh jeez.
You can't pogo!

I can't. Well, I can...but I'd rather not.

I'm trying to come to grips with it. It's leaving a somewhat stale feeling
in my gut. Like boosting the already present nervousness. It feels a bit
like going backwards.
Funny, just 6 year ago in '96, I couldn't have cared less. I was just
psyched to see our boys on stage again, and having Simon there seemed
appropriate, and an "all in the family" kind of affair. And, Pete seemed a
bit frail then. Like he *needed* the help because of his hearing. Couldn't
do electric, had those plexi-glass shields in front of the drums, etc. Now?
It's different. Pete's 'da monster'. I can just hear friends of mine
ask..."who's that dude?", and I'm going to have to answer and then explain
why the hell he's there in the first place. People are coming out to see
The Who. Friends of mine are psyched to see this raw band that is
reclaiming it's reputation as greatest live band ...*ever*. And now,
they'll all wonder why this great band needs help.
I don't mean to knock Simon. I really don't. I like Simon (although his
web site tends to show a bit too much of him...ahem). But I really pray that
he's just helping Pete work out the songs, and won't tour with The Who.
That's what *I'm* praying for.

Stay in tune,
Kevin in VT
