RE: Petition

John,

I refer you to an e mail I posted pretty quickly after the original posting,
I think this clearly reflects my thoughts and apologises for the Nostradamus
"tag" at the end............

Dear Listees,

Earlier today I circulated a petition, the contents and intentions of which
I personally agree with. Unfortunately, in my haste, along with the
petition there's a quote attributed to Nostradamus. It was not my intention
for this be included with the petition, please ignore it as there's doubts
about it's validity. The petition was the important part as far as I'm
concerned. I apologise to each and everyone of you if either this message
or the one with the petition have either offended you or wasted your time,
that wasn't my intention.

Thanks, NM

Nigel,

the petition you posted links for is an admirable idea and in a perfect
world it would be a great idea.

However this is not a perfect world, and I'm afraid people who are
prepared to die for their cause are unlikely to be much moved by one.

I'm more concerned about you leaving the Nostradamus tag on it. These
have been turning up all day. One of these so-called Nostradamus
prophecies that have been quoted turns out to be part of a thesis by a
student written in about 1997 to illustrate how suitably vague
statements can be taken to mean anything. The one he wrote has been
turning up to "prove" Nostradamus was right.
