Bush was exactly where he needed to be. Shoring up relations with a mighty
giant that borders the country that we just happen to be at war with. For
KILLING the friends and family members of the "Pathetic losers" in the crowd
- Who have NO political motivation for their horrendous feelings toward the
woman that rolled her eyes like a selfish big baby at President Bush's
address to congress the week after THEIR loss.

I am so proud of The Who for what they did that night. They *connected* with
them. I watched the video that I taped, over and over. No vain talk. No
"rehearsed "feeling. Just touching, meaningful words that could reach them,
that they all could get a release from as they sang along. Pete was fabulous.
He just Blasted it into them!

The song selection was perfect. I don't know how many times you have all
heard these songs, but I have heard them about as many times as anyone has
and they all brought tears to my eyes when I saw those firemen singing along.
Particular phrases gave me chills... "No one Knows what it's like to feel
these feelings, like I do; And I blame YOU!" ...Roger's voice was off that
night but it's not because of being old. (Just listen to your RAH dvd-he's
the best) He probably had a cold or something. Those of you that have it, go
to the first third of WGFA where Roger hollers "WE don't get fooled again!"
and then watch Pete. He infuses energy into the entire audience at will and
very skillfully. There isn't a guitar player on earth that can do what he can
do and it showed up very plainly that night! I loved watching him stomp
toward the front of the stage and then machine-gun those lucky dudes up front
with powerchords then launch into another one of his "I don't know what he's
gonna do this time" solos. He was just fabulous.
That foot shot of the WTC ominously towering above Pete Townshend as He
wailed away was priceless. No one in the whole show got a meaningful shot
like that.
One thing that I didn't get was what Roger said at the very end.

All and all, it proves one thing- That we were right all along :)

KevinMc, I enjoyed the reports from one who was actually there.
