about springsteen: his songs are about ambition. wanting to get to that place 
"where we'll walk in the sun". i have his live new york concert on DVD and 
he, like the who, give the fans what they paid for and more. he's a maniac in 
a good sense on the stage!
and let's not forget, pete townshend wanted springsteen to write a couple of 
songs to appear on a who album. i think it was the one that ended up being 
called "face dances" or "it's hard".
