VH1 Rock and Roll Moments 2000
VH1 just played a show called Greatest Rock and Roll TV Moments of 2000 and,
of course, it included all the usual and expected: Ms. Britney, Madonna,
M&M, the fight at the HipHop Awards, the Rage Against the Machine guy at the
MTV Awards, etc., etc.
But lo and behold, The Who scored the prime position, right there at the
end. It was Roger, Pete and John, up there on the screen with Homer
Simpson. Great spot. They played maybe half of The Who sequence from The
Simpsons, a quickie shot of TED circa '82 (backstage at Shea?), intercut Ms.
Britney (who also appeared), and then made a comment on how The Simpsons
show wanted to score the coolest, cutting edge bands. By inference, of
course, that's The Who. Hey, let's hear it for VH1!!
