Seems like they've got way more projects going than just albums, these days, 
so they have less time and energy to devote to the touring.  Plus, it's hard 
work, and Pete has to go without sex.  ;)

I think the Quad tours were a fair model of what they might come up with.  
Touring for a couple of years sounds fine for promoting a serious album.  
It's not like anything they put out is going to be a short-term pop hit.  
More likely it will be something like Quad that will take a while to catch 
on--though hopefully not twenty years.  It takes the public a while to come 
to terms with complex material.
