Re: A Walk Down Abbey Road: Konocti Harbor Resort and Spa

Repost from the Todd list

----------------------------------------------------

The show opened with "Magical Mystery Tour" and ended with "Hey Jude."
Todd was absolutely terrific. He was featured quite heavily throughout
the performance. David Pack of Ambrosia was great in that he has the
ability to sound like Eric Wolfson for the Alan Parsons songs and Paul
McCartney for the Beatle songs. Ann Wilson's voice was just as good as
the height of her Heart days. "Crazy on You" really rocked. Alan
Parsons, who had never sung a lead vocal in his life, was very brave and
did "Black Bird" alone on stage.

John Entwistle is a great bassist, but his lead vocals bring the show to
a crawl. The low point of the show was a goofy "Bang the Drum" followed
by Entwistle's "Boris the Spider." George Townsend had the ability to
sound like Roger Daltrey for the Who songs.

Todd was great on:

"While My Guitar Gently Weeps"
"Hide Your Love Away"
"Hello It's Me"
"Lady Madonna"
"Open My Eyes"

Even if you're not a Beatles fan, this show is worth seeing. It's great
to see Todd do something other than "Love of the Common Man," "Cliche'",
etc.
