Townshend not on Acid at Woodstock - according to Pete

I've found the article where Pete indicates he was not on Acid at Woodstock.
Funny enough, it was hanging on my wall at home all along(my friend and I
are both in the photo). The photo is from the back of the stage, and
clearly shows Pete reading lyrics from a book, but no sheet music (another
discussion). Photo caption: "Won't Get Fooled Again? Pete Townshend
returns to Woodstock.

The following is the section of the article that is about Pete:
Article is from High Times Magazine (don't have the exact date, must be
September or October 1998).

DIGGING WOODSTOCK
'A Day in the Garden' marked the legendary rock-fest's 29th anniversary.

The final Woodstock warrior of the weekend, Peter Townshend, offered
an exciting two-hour set that included such Who favorites as "The Kids are
Alright," "Won't Get Fooled Again" and selections from Tommy, with a gospel
choir. He was in good voice and "windmilled" his guitar, stirring
three-decades-old memories.
Townshend told the press that he had a "rotten time" at Woodstock in
1969. "I wasn't using acid or even smoking pot at the time of Woodstock,"
he recalled. "I suppose I kind of sat there and sneered at everybody,
really. My feeling of being outside this whole group of people in my
industry who were getting stoned all the time actually turned into a drink
problem for me. I thought that using heroin would help me stop drinking.
It did."

Again, according to Pete.
