In one of the best Townshend interviews I ever read, Pete talked a great deal 
about Hoffman and Vietnam. He said, in retrospect, that Abbey was right and 
he was wrong and he expressed regret about how little The Who (and possibly 
their contemporaries) dealt with the Nam subject head-on. I think the 
interview happened in 1989 in either Rolling Stone, Penthouse, or Playboy. I 
attempted a search for this before, but to no avail. Anyone out there know?
