Greetings everyone,
I forget who posted it originally but someone posted a link to a movie named 
Amy.  Which is basically jsut a modern day rip off of Tommoy from what I've 
read so far:

Child goes deaf after watchign father get electrocuted,
Eventully can sing, but not talk or hear,
Even abusive next door neighbors.

I wrote my own review of it on Yahoo:
