Yeah, I'm like you. I love bands with prominent drumming. This is why I don't
like Pink Floyd all that much even though they were a great band. I like to
hear Led Zeppelin because of John Bonham's strong beat and fast foot. He had
a funky groove that I dig.

You can argue all day about who is the best, but I like what I like and I
don't really care what other "experts" may say, so don't be bothered by the
forthcoming responses either. But...

Also like you, I LOVE Keith Moon. Now He was unique. There was something in
him that was not common. I tire of Bonzo, but NEVER of Keith. I know every
beat and cymbal crash that John bonham has recorded on album, but I still
cannot get all of them on WGFA right by the end of the song. ( I almost can).
He was so tricky and inventive! His legs were so powerful and his arms so
fast. He was very controlled but gave the illusion that he wasn't. Listen to
Fortune teller and Tattoo on Live at Leeds. He totally changes with the
second song into a different drummer. Marvelous.
