You shouldn't go to the show.  You'll get into a fight with all those nice 
people.  Well, okay, I'll agree that they are strange folk, but still they 
respond to Pete--he speaks to them and they listen.  Just don't consider 
this to be TOMMY.  It's a translation for the hard rock impaired.  ;)

A good one here.  This looked like formative influences.  The kid was pretty 
strong when he got through with all the mess.  You get the feeling he's put 
childhood and peer influence aside and become his own man.

Following the opera would be hard to do in a movie.  The storyline isn't 
clear enough for a visual medium.  The director beefed it up considerably, 
but it's still not a hard-plotted film.
