Attention Optimum Online Subscribers:
Virus Alert - W32.Goner.A@mm AKA Goner

A new email worm named w32.goner.a@mm or "goner" has been identified on the internet and could have an
impact on all internet
users.

The worm is spread as an attachment through email, the ICQ instant messenger program, or Internet
Relay Chat (IRC).

The email presents itself with the subject line "Hi" and the body text of, "How are you? When I saw
this screen saver, I
immediately thought about you.  I am in a harry, I promise you'll love it!".  The attachment is named
"gone.scr".

If you receive an email with this wording and the "gone.scr" attachment, DO NOT open the attachment.
Immediately delete the
entire message and empty your email trash.

As always we always recommend that our customers run antivirus software, keep it updated with the
latest virus definitions,
and perform regular scans.

If you have opened the attachment of an email that fits this description, please download from your
antivirus software vendor
the latest virus definitions and perform a scan of your machine to identify those files that need to
be removed.
