Who Parties in NYC

Plz forgive me if this is duplicated, as I've tried twice to post it,
w/o success.

To All:

Since we're less than 2 wks away from the Tues opening Who show, we
should come up with the best place for all listers to meet
before the shows. There have been a couple mentions of pre-show parties
for the MSG shows. Of what I noticed there have
been 2 recent bars mentioned:

Molly Wee, 402 8th Ave (NW corner of 30th St & 8th Ave-1 1/2 blocks from

MSG), Tel: (212) 967-2627

Club 31, 231 West 31st St.(on the South side of 31st St- directly across

the street from MSG).

If I remember Club 31, there's a restaurant on the right side and a
medium size bar on the left. It can get very crowded as it's
really not too big of a place. Does anyone have a different recollection

of the place?

Can anyone comment of the size, atmosphere of either place? Will they
put on a Who CD or do they have the Who on the
jukebox? Or is there a better place?


I am inviting you all to a very Special Charity Event for the
Nordoff-Robbins Foundation (a charity the Who are involved with). It's a

Who Tribute Show by a great band called "Who's Next." Pete himself has
given them his blessings and has provided signed photographs they raffle

off the Nordoff-Robbins Foundation.

With fans from around the world visiting NYC, it would be a great place
to meet some other great Who fans as there will be Who items raffled or
auctioned off (many signed by the Who)!

After a day of sightseeing, on the day between the shows, you can stop
by and have dinner &/or catch the show. Rumors are some Who insiders may

even be there and you can have a blast talking to them and sharing your
experiences with them.

Who's Next is a great Who cover band and I bet you will be amazed. They
also get pumped up when the audience gets into it by singing, dancing,
air guitar playing and air mic swinging. I've seen them twice & Bill
(Pete's double) bounced one guitar into the crowd & smashed another at
the 2nd show. You will be very surprised at their performance!

For those of us Who can never get enough, this is a must stop during
NYC's WHO Week!

Thursday, Oct. 5th @ Le Bar Bat, 311 West 57th St.(just west of 57th &
8th Ave, on the north side of 57th St.), phone: 212-307-7228. The
festivities should start around 9 pm, with Who's Next starting around
10:30 pm.
