MSG buzz, Wallflowers, Root Boy, Crack

I want to officially back off the Wallflowers rumor that I posted. I have
been obsessively checking various sites to reassure myself that the shows
will not be cancelled. As this leg is my last chance to see The Who this
year, I have been quite anxious about the thought that I might miss out. I
am now pretty sure that the dates will not be cancelled. Scott's
rationalizations have helped me here. It does make sense that with all the
cash and commitments on the line, that the shows will go on.

I saw the Wallflowers listed as the opener on the SFX site for less that 10
minutes. They posted it then retracted it. Given the high ticket prices
(even for this tour), it does seem logical that there would be some effort
and $ put into making the show something more than just The Who. I like
the idea of booking other major talent, but they may also turn it into some
quasi-charity event. Is it possible that guests might turn up (either
individually or as groups)? I have fantasized about Clapton, Jeff Beck, U2,
Radiohead, Dylan, Joe Strummer and others. Go ahead and pelt me with
reasons why not.

THE point of this is that the excitement is building and the unknown only
adds to that, so why not indulge in a little conjecture and fantasizing?

Kevin and Mark: Dead Milkmen? what the hell is that? Since you guys are up
on 80s obscure Americans - try these. Two acts that were fun in my youth in
Maryland were "Root Boy Slim" and "Crack The Sky". Any knowledge of them
and what became of them?
