BJORN TO BE WILD #3 (day 2; 6th of oct. MSG & afterwards)

Hi folks,

Shit, I am starting this too late (I'm starting to forget details, korsakov
is a bitch). ;-)

Anyway... After waking up in the afternoon at Billy place we headed to the
Molly Wee. A fucked up crappy bar that wouldn't serve me alcohol. Anyway;
nice to see some faces there; though I was kinda spaced out and thinking
"what am I doing here?". I went for a walk and hung out outside MSG. That
was actually the longest time I was outdoors (about 20 minutes)... NYC was
rather chilly...

I was very glad I got to meet Melissa in the play by play bar. I really
hate those TV screens at the bars you guys got in the USA. Irrittating and
frustrating. All the time I was thinking; "the fucking WHO is about to get
on stage!". Anyway... Got in the arena just about 5 min's before showtime.
Got my position on the 2nd row right in front of John.

The show was kinda interesting. They where very tight. Pete was fucking the
journalist; "according to "Dan the Man" you can't understand a word I am
saying because I am British". We all went: "BOOOOH!!!" or "FUCK THE
JOURNALIST!" or "FUCK DAN!".

Pete was also bad-mouthing a gy of the front row; "I'M GONNA FUCKING KILL
YOU!!!". Very nice... He explained that in his diary...

John introduced My Wife:

"Here's a song... About women... I keep running from them... The
MOTHERFFFFFFF!" (blasting into MY WIFE)

WHOOO-HOOO!!!

The set list was kinda short. I felt that irritated a lot of fans. I didn't
care. I am just so happy with what these boys do to me even at a short show
like this. It was very tight. Almost like it was a studio recording.

I heard by someone working at MSG it was because the boys got a 10 grand
bill for playing after the curfew on the night before. After the show I
asked that to Rabbit and he said: "I sure hope it doesn't come from my
salary!!!". Zak told me he thought it was because they where kinda tired of
playing and that they wanted to go to the UK badly. :-) Rabbit kinda told
me the same...

Great tunes where Relay, Bargain, YBYB and Who Are You... In a way I kinda
missed Magic Bus...

The afterparty was pretty lame. But hey; free drinks and pretzels, a broke
student like me is most certainly going to take advantage of that (I wtill
can't imagine people actually paying $250 for that!!!). And I got to hang
out with a lot of friends and I just had a great time there (as some may
have noticed). ;-)

Got to chat a lot with Godfrey. We got along great. He's actually the
driving force behind the gothic death metal part of the JEB. He is just so
cool. We talked on and on about Van Pires. It was just so cool to actually
talk to someone from the JEB. He was quite impressed by my knowledge from
the band. The night after that I told him I thought I probably was the one
in Europe with the biggest JEB collection. Godfrey replied; "Yeah, but
that's because nobody else knows us out there!!!". And that is very true...

Talked to John, asking him what he thought of my golden jacket. He told me:
"very nice! it looks great! at least it's not a coat!"...

I was like; "HUH????" what did he mean by that???
Later on I discovered. In the 80's Pete used to wear coats and John hated
them. John alsways wears jackets; he thought those coats made Pete look
like a faggot. (don't let go the coat) :-)

We got to Billy's place and partied on 'till long past dawn... He f*cking
knows how to party (no Dutch beer though). :-)

It was awesome...

Be happy,
