Being in the same boat as keets I am still gonna add my .02 to this 
discussion.  a "random" turning down and back up of any or all strings runs 
the risk of the entire guitar being out of tune because one can't guarantee 
that it will get returned to the exact same spot.  I *believe* this is the 
Ox's own (and custom) equivalent of a whammy bar, not exactly the same 
methodology or sound but a similar theory and effect.
