Something is happening but you don't know what it is, do you Mr. Jones; Boots on parade

Keets:

Yeah, but it's Pete we're talking about here. I have to agree with Scott;
something's going on here. Of course, I want something to be happening,
so...perhaps that colors my take on it. Ya think?

Christine:

It's not a stupid question, it's one we've all asked at some point. And
there's not a definite answer to it, which makes it harder. But in some
music stores you can run across them...usually the smaller, independent
stores rather than the chains. Sometimes in the bin with the other stuff,
sometimes in the "back" which means you have to ask to see them (so if you
look like a cop or a lawyer, they won't show them to you). Used stores are
a very good place to look, because they're usually independent and
sometimes the boots show up in the bins. Sometimes you can find them on
EBay, but not often.
The way I got most of mine was from trading with other people on the
Internet. This was mostly cassette tape, because CD burners were a rarity
and/or still expensive at the time. Now most trading is burned CDs (the
same is true for most purchased boots, for that matter). Quality varies, so
you must be prepared for what one person thinks is "excellent" being less
than what you might expect. There is a lot of repetition in different
titles, too.
