My opinion is that the MG album (especially the title song) is the
predecessor of punk rock. I don't think it sounds like metal (70's or
80's). Don't you think it's more on the punk style?

Well, I think this song (Melancholia) is much darker then most songs
done by Cream. And less bluesy, too.
