I showed up at box office in Denver for the pre-sale offered two days early - waited in line 2 hours - was second in line - only to be turned away because I didn't have the official membership card from sponsoring radio station!! And the radio station had assured me I only needed to be registered (which I was). Very upset - drove to nearest library to try Ticketmaster online - that didn't work - used pay phone and many quarters - begged person on other line to please not put me on hold again - and finally got tickets. Not the good seats, of course. The radio station manager apologized to me, and said he would try to upgrade tickets...but that was 2 weeks ago, and I don't think it is gonna happen. Still, its better than my seat at the 1976 concert - absolute nosebleed section at McNichols Arena in Denver. However, according to The Who Concert book (very informative), that particular concert had been rescheduled from a week before, due to a bad snowstorm in outlying areas that prevented the Who from transporting their equipment. Which meant that instead of seeing the Who that week, I ended up hanging out downtown, and met a guy who became my future husband (and future ex). All of which I forgot, until I read that book. The Who has influenced my life in too many strange and scary ways, I think. But I love them. Bad concert seats and all.
