"ROBIN Williams gently mocked the billionaires who packed the Javits
Center Tuesday night for the Robin Hood Foundation gala and urged them
on during the charity auction to push the evening's total take to a
record $10 million. Williams, who was introduced by Gwyneth Paltrow,
helped Jamie Niven auction off trips to Australia and Paris, couture
gowns, sailing cruises and gourmet dinners. Home run king Hank Aaron
signed a bat on the spot for the woman who bid $300,000 on a baseball
fantasy package, which included some face time with Keith Hernandez. The
crowd of 3,000 included the Black Crows (sic) band who were there to see
the Who rock the house."
