Interesting discussion about Napster.

My main thought on it is that protesting is almost certainly useless.  Cut
down Napster and a hundred more will suddenly appear.  The information about
where they are will spread much faster than anyone can find them to stop
them unless the RIAA or the government wants to hire a huge staff
(departmental size I'd say) and spend hundreds of millions of dollars
policing the Internet.

What might be the result of this might be good or it might be bad.  Whatever
happens, it's going to change everything in music and I don't think anything
can be done to stop it.
