i know, i've said things about roger, but all and all he IS the greatest frontman in rock, i do wish i can look the way he does, and he may be arrogant but he has his talent and his presence to back it up. and whats wrong with being honest? pete once said in an early interview that roger IS a star in his eyes, meaning when pete looks at roger, he sees a great star up there. roger also has the kind of chest that makes men wonder about their sexuality, cause we men love smoothness and texture, and rog certainly does have that (not saying hes a woman of course). and roger and the women? well, what woman on that who webring wouldn't mind waking up next to roger? the blue eyes of rock, and the best frontman. robert plant, eat your heart out! John is the only guy who looks cool with white hair! i love the clothes hes wearing now, the red satin jackets, and cool boots, he just looks good! and on top of that, great bass playing, the best! thunderfingers, the ox, BIG JOHNNY TWINKLE!! last but not least, the only critics out there are the fans. newspaper jouralists and assholes like that are just a bunch of untalented people with no cridentials who criticize others who DO have talent. elvis, the beatles, etc., the icons of today, have all been looked down upon by those critics, but the people knew, the fans knew, and they always will know. the beatles aren't touring anymore, led zeppelin aren't touring anymore, elvis is dead, John lennon is dead, but the who goes on and you have to give credit to a band that just goes on, gives the fans what they want, and still can put on a killer performance! and if you ask me, they look good doing it, grace slick!!

>So, does anyone out there dislike, or even hate, Roger Daltrey? Sure >we've all cringed at seeing some of his outfits from time to time, but I >wonder why he elicites so much anger & hatred from some people. 1) Roger tends to carry that passion you mentioned into his personal life, 2) he's got a real serious attitude, and 3) he's pretty honest about what he thinks. All that's just his personality, of course, and I think you're right that he's the dominant energy that drives The Who, but on a personal basis, that's a little much for some folks to handle. The male jealousy thing is pretty obvious, but I think maybe the gals sort of split on the issue. Some just don't like the punk attitude. Also, I think there are some old issues between Roger and the female fans that might enter into the picture here. >I was really surprised in that same review when the dude took a swipe >at OX for his stage attire. Doesn't the idiot know that OX's playing is so >good that his clothing is completely irrelevent? Damn fool. Made me want >to see how the reviewer dresses. You find guys around on the lists like this, so pro-Pete that Roger and John are just impediments to them enjoying Pete's show. Rather than appreciate the individual talents TED bring to the unit, these guys want to make sure you know that RD and JAE are complete idiots that Pete only tolerates for whatever eccentric personal reasons. I think there was a comment here (a while back) to the effect that this might stem from old rivaltries within the band, and that the fan base had long ago chosen up sides. This reviewer was kind of glaringly obvious, wasn't he? keets _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
