(8/7/00, 6 p.m. ET) - As expected, the two New York City shows with the
Who and Jimmy Page & the Black Crowes sold out in short order -- even
though American Express cardholders were the only people allowed to buy
tickets -- and so a third night has been added.
Fans who got shut out of the October 3 and 4 concerts at Madison Square
Garden now have the chance to get into an October 6 date at the venue.
Tickets go on sale Monday (August 14) at 9 a.m. ET and, unlike the
American Express-exclusive for the first two shows, the October 6 gig
will be available to all purchasers at all the usual outlets. Tickets
are priced at $54, $78, $103, and $253.

These shows mark the first time that Jimmy Page & the Black Crowes will
share the stage with the Who. Although the bands were on the road
together earlier this summer, they never played together -- instead, the
groups played on alternating nights, which allowed them to share a road
and stage crew, cutting down on expenses.

As with the first two New York shows, no one will be admitted to Madison
Square Garden after the 7:30 p.m. ET start time of the show since both
acts are viewing these once-in-a-lifetime shows as "a complete musical
experience from beginning to end." Discussions about onstage
collaborations are still ongoing.
