Re: a better Who's Next.....
Actually i disagree about My Wife being the weak link. Sure it doesnt fit
the concept of the Lifehouse concept, but like "Success Story " on The who
by numbers, "My wife " seems to be Johns personal interpretation, albeit a
hilarious one, on Petes love story in Lifehouse. Some of the songs on Who's
next to me, dealt with the love story/ feelings of separation side of
Lifehouse "Bargain" Love aint for keepin" The Song is Over" .
Just like "Success Story" was a objective view of how life was becoming
mundane and "by the numbers" for Pete and the rest of the members of the
band, It served as a bit of a in musical terms a bridge for the album .
Just as My wife gives us a small break in the album and give it a balance.
This is actually a strength. Pete's emotions are on wide display on the Who
by numbers and Who's next Johns one song shot on both albums is his own
unique viewpoint giving the albums a wider scope of the band's experiences
