So THAT'S what happened to him! I thought he just ran out of ideas about
the time of his Christian period (the SAVED album, for instance).
Actually, I shouldn't say that because I'll be seeing him live in a few
weeks...

I agree; I believe the songs are in the commercials to capture the
attention of those who are familiar with the songs. Please notice that only
hits have been used, the songs likely to be the most familiar to the
majority. This is the very same thing Burger King did (remember that series
of commericals?).
At first, when the ads were only for computers, I liked to think that they
used The Who's music to capture the attention of the more intellectual
viewer (as opposed to using Start Me Up, like Microsoft did)...but that's
just what I liked to think...
