Okay, I have to weigh in on this debate about the teenage wasteland aspect of
Baba O'Riley.
On the 1989 Tommy live video, Pete says something to the effect that the song
is about the teenage rock concert experience; camping out for tickets, buying
a t-shirt, etc.
"And all your money's worthless," he says.
What I took that to mean is he's saying how silly the whole thing can seem
once you're not a teenager anymore. But hey, it's only rock and roll.
