Re: Who singles and "Dig"

Lorin,

There are many Who compilations out there, far more than I care to
list! I can, however, point you in the direction of some of the best
ones. "Who's Missing" and "Two's Missing", the albums whose track
listings have been posted these past couple of days, both contain Who
singles that are difficult to find elsewhere. The same goes for
"Meaty, Beaty, Big and Bouncy", which is my personal favorite Who
compilation album. "Odds and Sods" is not a singles collection, but
does have plenty of previously unreleased Who songs. It should also
be easy to find, since it was recently re-released. (No, this is not
an opening for more argument about the new "Odds and Sods"!) "Who's
Missing" and "Meaty, Beaty..." are a bit more difficult to track down,
and you may need to check your local secondhand music shops. "Two's
Missing" is the most elusive of all - I still don't have my own copy,
and I've been trying to get one for years!

Gloria,

"Dig" is a song off Pete's 1989 solo album, "Iron Man". It was one
of the two songs on that album performed by the Who (the other being
a cover of "Fire"). "Dig" was performed several times during the '89
tour, which is one reason why some people have accused Pete of
agreeing to that tour only to help his own album sales.
