Can't speak for others, but I don't.  I'm looking forward to the various
groups and individuals who will entertain me through the next couple of

(I'm not a Christian, but...) FWIW, there was also widespread panic and
predictions of doom for the change of the first millenium.  For more info,
see Richard Erdoes' book, "A D 1000".  Of course, it's much more dramatic
to believe the sky will split and God will descend in person sometime soon,
but I'm putting my chips on the bet that we'll wake up on Jan 1, 2000 (and
2001, 2002, etc.) with nothing worse than a hangover.
