Capehart dead



This was in my AOL mailbox today,

<< NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Jerry Neil Capehart, a songwriter and manager who
co-wrote the rock 'n' roll classic ``Summertime Blues,'' died Sunday, two
weeks after being diagnosed with brain cancer. He was 69.
     Capehart was a music publisher when he met Eddie Cochran. The two wrote
``Summertime Blues'' in 1958, and Cochran's rendition reached No. 8. Others
who have recorded ``Summertime Blues'' include Blue Cheer in 1968, The Who in
1970 and Alan Jackson in 1994. >>
