like a knight in shining armor...

There has been a lot of talk on the Led Zeppelin list lately about
the Quad tour. Everyone who saw that tour has been enthusiastic, and
the discussion hasn't even brought on a horrible "Who vs. Zeppelin"
debate. Just lots of Who/Zeppelin fans telling Zeppelin fans how
great Quad was. Others have come up with quotes from Roger on how
Led Zeppelin is one of his favorite bands, Kashmir is great but he
would'nt try to sing it because he can's sing like Robert Plant, or
respects him too much...or something like that. Basically a love
fest.

The only sour note was when one person reported that Roger's voice is
shot and the implication was that it was shot permanently (though not
stated specifically). Others responded with their thoughts and
quoted the original message so there it was again...his voice is
shot. Well I came to Roger's rescue and reported that his voice was
in great shape in Atlanta and that he had had a cold when touring the
northeast so he had a few bad voice nights. So now the Zeppelin fans
have a more accurate picture. I can easily see why someone might
conclude that Roger's voice is shot if they attend a few shows and he
sounds horrible at each one. He has good nights and bad nights. But
he also has great nights.

The Who vs. Led Zeppelin...hmmm...let's not even go there!!!!!!!!

On another note I'm still laughing about that "count 'em on one hook"
bit. That was a good one. =:^)
