The Beginning

Hello Fellow WHO Heads,
     This is how it started.........
Daltrey was in The Detours as a rhythm guitarist. He hired John and later Pete
(at John's request (or vise versa). Keith saw a show and said he could play
better than their drummer (Doug Sandom (sic)) and tore the kit apart. This was
around late '63.
Roger, John, Pete and Keith formed The WHO, changed to the High Numbers,
released a single (I'm The Face b/w Zoot Soot), Changed their name back to The
WHO, recorded I Can't Explain (1964), and the rest, as they say, is history!
