The Ox

Jim in Chicago,
Let me clarify, I am talking about one of a series of reissue albums from
the early 70's on the Track Records label #2407 014. The one titled,
Backtrack Fourteen The Ox, is a complation of John Entwistle Who cuts. It
includes:

Heinz Baked Beans
Heaven & Hell
Dr. Jeyll & Mr. Hyde
Fiddle About
Cousin Kevin
Doctor, Doctor

Medac
Boris The Spider
I've Been Away
Whiskey Man
In The City
Someone's Coming
Silas Stingy

Interesting to hear them all together. There were at least Backtracks #
7,8,9,10,11,12, & 13 also, although not all Who.

I guess my Christmas wish would be to hear Quadrophenia on the proper
equipment in QUADROPHONIC ...QUADROPHONIC ...QUADROPHONIC ...QUADROPHONIC
sound. Just think what we could do with that!

Carla
(who's moved on to the drums in Tommy)

Quadrophenia with all tracks removed, and only Keith's drumming. That
album is just one huge drum-roll and God, I love it. It was Keith's
legend, mystique and yes, his death that got me into The Who in the first
place (see my Bite the Bullet entry).

>You mentioned John's horns on The Ox. Do you mean the song "The Ox" from
"...Sings My Generation" album? I've never heard horns on that track
before. Now I'd better listen harder. D-oh! I just remembered; my CD
player died recently! Time to pull out the vinyl!
