I was under the impression that Pete first saw Hendrix by
himself. He later called up Eric Clapton, invited him to a movie, and
while there told him about Hendrix. In fact, a saw Pete tell the story
on that History of Rock n Roll show, here on MuchMusic.

In response to the previous posting on why Jimi recruited Mitchell.
Jimi actually jammed with Entwhistle and Moon, when the Who were going
through some rough times. The only reason, as far as I'm concerned that
the Who didn't split up is because John, Keith and Jimi wanted to be
constantly soloing (in the spot light). Thank God for that ! After this
trio fell apart, Jimi recruited M.M. and N.R.
Thats the story as I know, does anyoune have anything to add, or change?
I'd really like to get it right.

	Cheers,
	Rui
