Toronto....Again

Another comment.....

Glenn...I agree with your sentiment about John's solo...it was a show
stopper...as well, as Roger and Simon performing WGFA alone.......no fanfare
or glitz.........pure Who......

As for Quadrophenia.....my personal favs were 5.15 and Reign O'er
Me........very tight.........However, .I found the screen version of "Jimmy"
distracting. I was not sure of Pete's intentions........the presence of Ace
Face and Godfather on the flip side, worked rather nicely....however, this
"Tommyesqe" style of a one dimensional Jimmy was daunting.......what are
your thoughts out there????? curious for a counterpoint.

Lastly, I sat with four vetran roadies.........one lovely chap, reminded me
of Paul Weller's dad (who is Paul's manager, and a look a like of Elvis with
white hair)....
all these roadies were sporting insignant "The Who" rings in gold...rather
large pieces of jewelery.......I tried to haggle them for $50 cdn dollars,
so now it is sitting around my neck........oh ya, and the "Who" poster I
bought last night WAS really SIGNED by John.......*chuckle, chuckle*

so sorry I missed all of you at the Zum Rhein......Rupe the Dupe was late as
usually..........that was the only disappointment of the evening......good
luck to those still following.

Adieu, Adieu
Andrea
