Oasis-one hit wonder (some Who)

Someone wrote that Oasis is a one hit wonder.That's funny considering they
have two widely successful albums and at least four songs that would be
considered hits, not counting the new one which will definatley chart. Hmm, a
one hit wonder with FIVE hit songs and TWO multiplatnum CD's. Interesting.

 As for the Rolls Royce in the swimming pool, that is an obvious reference
and toung-in-cheek tribute to Moonie. Oasis is known and hated for their
Beatle influence but they are also influenced by The Who and Kieth in
particular. That's why on one of their singles (I forget which one) there is
a pictue of Keith from about 1965 playing his heart out. This doesn't mean
Oasis is good because they like The Who or Kieth, but if your going to knock
somebody it would be good to know what your talking about first.

By the way, British Rock is making a large resurgence in the USA, and Oasis
is no doubt the leader of that movement. At least in terms of popularity.
Other groups are Blur (it's about time, discovered in America on their fifth
CD) and Radiohead. Maybe America will soon be ready for Ocean Colour Scene
when they release their new CD in August.
