"The Last Time" was released in late Feb. 1965 and "A Legal Matter" was
recorded the following October.

I haven't heard Pete comment on that one, but he has said that
"Substitute" was influenced by "19th Nervous Breakdown" and the guitar
part for "I'm Free" was adapted from "Street Fighting Man."

Going the other way, "Have You Seen Your Mother, Baby" is a pretty
blatant Who copy.
