smashing guitar

   Pete also smashed his guitar on the 89 tour. It was at the first of the two 
shows at RFK. During the song I Can't Explain, it looked as if something was 
wrong with his Rickenbacker and he swung it up over his head in an axe type 
motion and smashed it on the stage one time. Then he threw it up and back and 
got another one. A small piece of this guitar splinterd off into "no man's 
land" between the stage and the front row where a roadie or security picked it 
up. I strongly think that this is the same piece on the Join Together album 
cover but have no proof other then the fact it was about the same size and 
just seems logical.
