Greetings Wholings:
Attended Thursday nights show at Great Woods
the boys took the roof off.  You know the setlist so I won't bother to
repeat it here.  This was my 5th Quadrophenia show and I would rate it #1 .
. . the band is tight and with Pete playing alot more electric and
obviously having fun doing so, it made for a super show, ofcourse sitting
in the 5th row in front of Pete was nice.  Early on Pete was having
problems with one of his monitors and in typical fashion was giving it to
the guys on the board, problem was they weren't understanding what he was
talking about which brought Pete's blood to boil level, he just walk back
to the offending monitor, knocked it over and pulled the plug then turned a
fiery (if looks could kill) glance back at the techies spat off something
and then proceeded to ravage his guitar, now fueled by the emotion of the
moment. Wow!
If any of you here saw Townshend's Psychoderelict show at Great Woods a few
years ago you know how Pete can channel extreme anger into unbelievable
performance.
On that occasion the computer generated video
totally crapped out 3 tunes into the show.  Pete scrapped the show and
proceeded to lead the unknowing rest of the band through an absolute
burning set of Who material.  Magic bus seemed to go for 15 minutes.  If
anyone has a boot of that show I'd love to get my hands on a copy. The
Great Woods show rocked.  Another observation on the crowd mix younger and
more female than usual.  Well it's off to the 
Meadows for tonights show.
